FREE the STURGIS RALLY
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally could use your help. Please take the
time to read about the problem. Motorcycle events have already been
damaged by the actions of a greedy few. We ask you to visit this
link right now and tell your friends and fellow riders.
Concerned Citizens For Sturgis has put up a website outlining
the problem created there that has already spread to Kentucky. It
even threatens events like the Key West Poker Run for both Power
Boaters and Motorcycle Riders. Donate to the organization something
to show your support. Stop the revision of history.

The best motorcycle ride in the tropics on one of America’s most scenic highways US Highway 1 is in the Florida Keys. Known in Monroe County , Florida as the Overseas Highway, it stretches over 100 miles from Miami, Florida to Key West, Florida. With over 40 bridges, including the infamous Seven Mile Bridge you have the Atlantic Ocean on one side of the highway and Florida Bay / Gulf of Mexico on the other. This is a great ride by two or four wheels anytime. It is not a ride that you want to end, the enjoyment is in the view, the ocean breeze and the colorful stops along the way. Once a year there is an organized event starting in Miami, Florida in the Poker Run format ending in Key West, Florida. Along the way, they make five stops and draw a card at each stop. The winner is the lucky rider who draws the best hand. Sponsored by Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami and Peterson's Harley-Davidson South. Over thirty five years ago, Phil Peterson came up with the idea and it has become South Florida's biggest motorcycle party weekend of the year. Riders who want to participate in the Peterson’s Key West Poker Run can sign up at Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami N.W 194th Street, and U.S. 441 (Miami) or at the Peterson’s Harley-Davidson South, S.W. 198th Street and U.S. Highway 1 where the Florida Turnpike crosses over U.S.1 in Cutler Bay, Florida. ANTE UP!!! And we don't mean the Poker Magazine. You really have to Ante Up for Key West Parking. No more crashing the party. The Police will enforce this rule. Parking on Duval Street is Not Free. New this year you will need a special $5.00 parking pass for your bike. The special zip ties will be seen on the right hand mirror stems of motorcycles parked on Duval Street during the 2 day special street closing. When you sign up for the Poker Run it is included with your registration fee. Members of the rotary club will also be selling these tie wraps at the barricades along Duval Street for $5.00 per bike. Police will only grant you access to parking on Duval Street if you have the special tie wrap visible on your mirror. Official calendar of events and registration details are available at petersons.keywestpokerrun.com. Learn more about Peterson's Harley Davidson at www.petersonsharley.com . A basic knowledge of
poker is a good thing to consider when going on a Poker Run, without
a minor background you do not know if you are doing good or not.
Cable TV has introduced Poker to many folks just has it has with
shows about motorcycles and custom bike builders. The internet has
many online poker and gambling websites that can give some basics.
Poker Runs are mostly about the luck of the draw, so strategy is of
little use. The rank of different hands is what is most important.
